Gait & Running Analysis
Treadmill video from four angles, broken down frame by frame, so a recurring injury traces back to a mechanic.
We film at your easy pace and again near threshold, because form falls apart at different points for different people. Four angles, then frame-by-frame through contact, midstance, and toe-off.
Cadence, overstride, pelvic drop, knee window, and foot strike all get measured rather than described. Then we pick the two cues most likely to change the picture, because a runner given eight things to think about changes nothing.
What it changes
- ✦The mechanic behind a recurring injury, on video
- ✦Two or three specific cues instead of a lecture
- ✦A re-shoot to confirm the change actually happened
Questions
What should I bring?+
Your normal running shoes and the kit you actually train in. If you have a second pair you rotate, bring both.
Will you tell me to change my foot strike?+
Only if the video says so. Most of the time cadence and overstride do more work than the strike pattern.
More in Testing & Movement Screens
New Patient Assessment
History, a scored movement screen, and a hands-on exam. You leave with a written plan, a visit count, and a total.
Movement Screen
A standalone screen of the twelve positions we test, scored and written up, for athletes who want a baseline before a season rather than a fix for something painful.
Throwing & Overhead Screen
A shoulder, thoracic spine, and hip screen for throwers, swimmers, and overhead lifters, measuring the rotation and mobility the sport actually demands.
